[ stands to reason kaname knows which door to approach. he has a phone, so datura hall is open to him. as far as leona is aware, not many happen to live in this building anymore, and he's pretty conflicted about that. it'd be nice to have neighbors but he wouldn't like the sound, but being lonely...

at least he has deuce. that's one, at the very least, who should heed his warning and move in here.

door opens and he's standing there with phone in hand and an amused grin on his face.

this was such a poor idea. kaname's cheeks are already pink from the brisk walk he took in chilly weather, that amused look on leona's face isn't helping -- he's going to slap a cold hand onto the beastman's chest. enjoy his chilly fingers you unbearable cat. ]

[ yooooOOOOO unfair! unfair. simply despicable. but does kaname think he'll escape scot-free? no. not at all. feeling that sudden and surprising sting of icy fingers makes him grab on and keep kaname's fingers there.

and then he just. pulls kaname inside... knocks the door closed with a foot...

his hand isn't the only thing warmly quickly as the door clicks shut behind him, but he doesn't pull away -- he doesn't come closer, but he doesn't pull away. his other hand does come up to rest on leona's wrist though. ]

No. It's your fault I went out into the cold, so it's your responsibility to warm me back up.

[ which is like, worse than he really means it to sound, especially like this. not that it was really the other's fault, but he doesn't want to admit that his fingers are faster than his mind. ]

[ does kaname know how much danger he's in? lucky that leona is so charitable and kind, just like the king of beasts. that he lets go of the first hand in order to capture the second, raise it up with both of his hands sandwiching it, and bringing it up to his lips...

so that he can softly huff warm air on it. ]

Guess I can do that. Unfortunately for you, I keep my room cold. Easier to sleep that way.

[ it feels less like warm air and more like a small tremble of electricity dancing over his nerves, right to his heart. kaname's quiet, tense (but not in an uncomfortable way, more like a cat trying to decide if it's alright to leap a gap,) before he straightens his fingers to brush leona's lips.

he thinks he knows what he wants to do now. ]

I don't think it's that unfortunate. It's still warmer than outside, isn't it?

[ and it'll be warmer still with leona there... kaname isn't really cold anymore, or at least it isn't on his mind the more he stands here. no more than judging this male living space. he does have the mind to toe off his shoes, which take away a few precious centimeters, but nothing else. ]

[ it's the perfect male living space! not sparkling clean, but not filthy due to ignorance. well-lived in already despite only being here for a few months. even leona has his limits.

however, he doesn't particularly care about his surroundings right now. after all--- those fingers are right there and he does nothing. no kisses. no nips. he's flustered and flummoxed and his heart is in his throat.

but he does... brush them against his lips. he lets them rest there for a second as he thinks... ]

Mmm. Okay.

[ happy to oblige, leading kaname over and taking a seat before the other does on a recently cleaned couch. it'll give him an opportunity to choose where he sits... which side... or no side at all. ]

[ kaname isn't bold enough yet for "no side at all" (maybe next time) but... just sitting beside leona make him feel at a disadvantage. he decides to treat it like a performance and slips off his coat, letting it fall where he should be sitting on the couch and in the same motion resting his hand on the back of it, leaning closer to the beastman. gold into green, cheeks stained red and lips parting slightly. ]

You know, Kingscholar. [ quieter. ] I was rejected once. But I don't think I will be this time.

[ he's... almost certain he won't be, but there's always a 2% he can cling to if he's wrong. it also wasn't. this. that he was rejected for, even if they both came from sudden, strong emotional impulses. ]

Do tell me if I'm wrong.

[ you know, while he's this close and a little braver than he was at narukami's event. it's fine. he can recover from it if so. ]

[ leona should reject him. if it would save them both distress in the future, then... yeah. it would be for the best. he could avoid what might be his downfall; temporary attachments to those he may never see again. the same thing that brought them together could also sever them as well.

but right now...

he leans. he lets his forehead touch kaname's. ]

You're not.

[ and he closes his eyes. mmm. it's peaceful, despite how hard his heart is pounding, to the point where his ears are aching from it. ]

[ ... oh, he's not. kaname's face feels impossibly hot, and he just knows the other can feel it from their small bit of contact -- and there's such a bundle of emotions rolling in his chest. the biggest, of course, is relief, but second down is brilliant triumph.

there are people who like him for him. who aren't seeking to get their claws in and pry whatever secrets lie beneath. of course he knows there are people who have an unconditional care for him -- he can name a good handful -- but... it's nice, being told and shown. one more bit of proof against the cruelty of the world.

it is peaceful. it is nice. it's also nerve-wracking, and kaname rests his other hand on leona's shoulder as he leans in and gives him a tentative, shy kiss. ]

[ no fear. no regret.

he's making... a decision. actually, he probably already made it. his actions have led him here. at any time he could've dissuaded kaname, told himeru, might've been able to stop everything before it got to this point. and yet, leona encouraged it at every step.

so this isn't a mistake. even if it's the smallest and cleanest kiss...

yeah.

he raises his chin, just a little... reaches out to tip kaname's up as well. he wants to tenderly look into the boy's eyes as he continues it. yeah. a little deeper, too. make sure it's firm. not a fight or a challenge. no aggression quite just yet, unless kaname wants it. he'll let this idol lead for now. ]

[ as embarrassing as it is to be held captive by someone's gaze that's exactly as spellbound as kaname feels, skin warm beneath leona's fingers and he grips the other's shoulder harder in return -- not a warning, nothing like that, just to ground himself a little because for the first time he thinks he understands why amagi said that you shouldn't kiss before marriage.

it. feels really nice. and like all nice things kaname's never had the chance or thought to have before, he wants more of it. so call him greedy, call him clingy or worse, but he doesn't need much of a push to continue it himself, a pleased noise trapped behind his lips before he parts them a little to venture a bit deeper himself.

at least leona knows he hasn't kissed before. it's kind of him to let him lead despite that, or because of that, and so kaname feels comfortable enough to straddle the beastman in a clear want to be closer, eyes closing in contentment. ]

[ imagine listening to an amagi. either of them, actually, for advice in that regard. he's glad that kaname didn't because otherwise... what else would they do if not kiss? make polite conversation? play some kind of chicken?

nah. leona would've lost that game immediately. so instead, they can both reap the rewards of being impulsive.

this isn't his first kiss. heck, it's not even his first kiss here in the nest! but every single one is special; there are no cheap ones to him. all are precious, meant to be coveted.

it's sweet. that's how it feels. he likes kaname in his lap, equalizing their height difference. all for him. leona rests his hands on the other's lower back, fingers curling there. ]

[ he's deciding he likes being held (as loose as the term can be) this way, too. carefully in place with a lighter touch than he's had before. but there's a thought that's catching him, not in a bad way, and he turns his head from the kiss just to speak it-- ]

You're awfully tame for a lion, Kingscholar.

[ some king of beast he is. the gentleness is appreciated, but kaname wasn't attracted to the idea of kissing him for that reason. sort of a sweet bonus though. his arms wrap around leona's neck, comfortable, and he feels his heart hard in his burning chest. ]

Let me see your claws.

[ if that's what kaname wants... then that's what he'll do. though, it's not his claws that he'll brandish, but his fangs. those broader, pointier canines. that he doesn't want to leave anything that'll show easily... it wouldn't take a rocket scientist to understand where marks like his might come from. ]

Only if you show me yours.

[ be daring. be bold. stick your head in the mouth of the lion, because that's what he wants. don't be afraid.

but just to see what kaname will do... he presses in for another kiss. this time, his tongue darts out to swipe against those lips. ]

[ well he isn't afraid of leona, that's for certain -- but it startles him in a good way, and there's not much thought in that pretty head of his as he returns the kiss less shy, less tentative than when he'd started, wanting to keep up with the actual beast(man) between them,

and if leona would be content with a housecat's claws, small but no less dangerous than their predecessors, then kaname can flex them given time, given challenge. it'd been a surprise to feel tongue, but he doesn't mind the wet warmth against his lips; he's eager to see what he can learn from the other too. it's a world he isn't allowed, a taboo that would cost him everything back home for more than one reason, and given the lack of danger he's really in of that here?

kaname's damned already, eve in the garden of eden, if tongue is in his future he's more than welcoming to the idea, though he wants it on his terms as he nips at leona's lips and follows it with a swipe of his own: an unspoken command, his eyes just barely open to see it through this time. ]

[ they're both damned. he's the serpent, ready to bestow upon kaname the simple act of forbidden knowledge. pleasure, if he wishes. smash the locks on the gate, and let him be free. what he yearns for, what he desires... leona will do his best to give it to him. why? because he's selfish and vengeful and like a good king, he is also magnanimous.

the nip makes him purr, a heavy and low noise in his chest. a rumble of a sigh, a gentle grumble. of course he'll part his lips for that but his tongue is not timid nor a stranger to the feeling of another against it. in fact, he finds it pleasant. ear burning, nerve tingling excitement... different. very different.

he's not going to suffocate him with his presence. it's tempting. perhaps... if he felt like he wasn't trying to walk on eggshells? he still might approach this all with a gentle touch. after all, it's not just kaname's heart he's worried about. it's his own, too. ]

[ the fact he purrs makes kaname laugh in their kissing, actually -- he hadn't expected it, but it's a wonderful reaction and a nice sound, nice feeling, he brings his hands down to press against leona's chest to catch it again.

-- actually, the skin against skin is nice too, kaname's soft hands still new to the callouses that'd form with his various hobbies, thumb rubbing circles against the sliver offered by his leather vest with a pleased hum.

kissing is nice. it's really nice. he wonders if it's just nice with leona, or if it's nice with other people too -- if he asked hiiro, would that boy follow in his brother's footsteps or would he break his own path. if he could press his courage and ask it of tatsumi, who's kind nature was as likely to reject him as it was accept. only one of those would be vaguely more acceptable than the other though, and neither of them are the person he's sitting in the lap of.

... but leona doesn't deserve that. kaname's a terrible person. but the way he decides to atone for the thoughts the beastman won't ever be privvy to is reaching one hand behind him to grasp leona's at the small of his back, dragging it and his shirt up partially. off, maybe. or under. one of the two. ]

[ kissing is very nice, indeed. hopefully it won't be the last time he kisses kaname. another person whose lips feel pleasant against his own. if he ever has the opportunity to compare them against someone who might have similar ones... how surprised would he be? hm. hm hm.

but that's a fleeting thought, if one at all. leona's more focused on the now. on the boy he's slowly peeling the shirt off of. careful to not rip or tear anything--- again, he doesn't want to provide any kind of evidence that isn't one he can be proud of. who would puff their chest out at that? not leona. no, he wants to own everything else.

this is how he'll protect kaname: scent him with nuzzles and kisses. this is clearly the way.

and what better way to start than break that kiss, lick kaname's lips, then move his face down toward his throat? he noses at his chin, making the other lift it, so that he can press his lips against the skin there and... suck. gently. make the skin rosy. ]

[ kaname's confused until he isn't, breath stuttering the way his heart does and he cranes his neck to better let leona at it, nails digging into what skin they're against. nevermind kissing, this "and other stuff" is good too -- if this is what amagi hadn't wanted to explain, then kaname understands why. every new sensation is quickly becoming something he enjoys more than the last, so is it any surprise that he reacts just as eagerly to this one?

good thing the other's doing as asked too, because the cooler air of the apartment is a pleasant relief with how warm he's getting -- goosebumps and all, a shiver not entirely the fault of his partner in crime running through his body. the shirt's easy to come up and off, more skin than he's shown anyone save his family, and kaname doesn't know to be shameful about the reactions he gives: the quickened breathes, the thrum of his pulse against leona's lips, how he isn't sure what to do with his hands and ends up resting his now bared arms atop the other's shoulders.

no, it's really good to be in this position, because kaname doesn't need this ruined by the mistakes faintly lining his left wrist. ]

Mm-- More, Kingscholar.

[ a small command, despite the breathy nature it has. kaname is a willing student, he'll certainly return the lessons taught sometime. ]

[ more? more it is... because he's in the presence of someone and something precious, and even if somehow he went a little overboard... he has magic. he can relieve those aches and pains, dull or sharp, and bring him that warmth that only he can provide. sure, there might be a few new healers here, but do any of them carry the same kind of weight that leona does? muscle, cute ears, a nice tail...

it won't do just letting kaname be topless. leona will join him, show off his build--- demonstrate the natural physique of a royal blooded beastman. but he's not going to pull his face away, not when he wants to nibble on kaname, flats of his teeth scraping against skin.

not a hard chomp. nothing terribly rude, not yet. ]

You askin' to be marked? You sure you'd be okay with that?

[ nothing permanent, obviously. he's not in the business of scarring someone who doesn't deserve it. ]

[ kaname's legs squeeze against leona's sides at the teeth scraping against his skin, the warmth breath on top of it, and he

didn't really consider that actually, because it just doesn't come up in his thoughts until it's put there, and he can't even imagine what he'd look like with marks. bruises weren't a daily occurrence for him but. it wouldn't be because leona wants to hurt him, unlike the eyes that burn at the edge of his mind. ]

[ is what he trades back, hands sliding over leona's shoulder and back. he's never touched someone like this either, so it's slow and deliberate as if he might never again. kaname may not know the other's lineage still, and it wouldn't change anything anyway, but he likes what's beneath him. it's a learning process. ]

So long as they don't show, [ so long as his brother won't see, ] then do what you want. [ nails, now, a little hard in their dragging. ] Don't be so gentle with me. I wouldn't be asking for more if I didn't want what you can give me.

[ treat him like anyone else, stubbornly so. he won't fool himself into thinking this is leona's rodeo, so if he marks others then let him be marked. if he bites them, then bite. kaname wants to be his equal, too.

even if he doesn't really get what all of it includes, he wants to be able to refuse it than to have it refused for him. ]

[ another exhale, another inhale. breathing in kaname's scent through flared nostrils. uncertainty but not fear. excitement but not ecstasy. nails that dig into his own skin and make him arch his back. puff out his chest, but not so much that he pushes kaname back. his face is practically anchored to that spot... skin becoming more and more flushed as he tends to it. his ministrations will certainly leave a bruise, but not to the extent of broken skin and force. ]

But a place that someone's eyes won't go directly to? I can think of a few spots.

[ he's going to have to move for that, though. where his mind goes means a change of position, from couch to bed, and that feels like a good idea. with kaname's legs already in place, it takes no effort to slowly stand up and carry him over. ]

Givin' me a lot of freedom... I won't betray your trust.

[ still careful and still mindful, he lies kaname out--- and leona soon follows after, staying on top of him. not smothering, not going full loaf. as loathe as he is to leave that spot by his throat where he could feel the beating of kaname's heart, he has a new place to go. sensitive nubs, ready for the flicking and teasing, tongue dragging over each one. ]

[ of course i do is a match set to light against his desire and the way leona strikes it (refusing to part from his neck for a second, the words against his swelling, darkening skin) turns the follow-up into fuel that flares the wildfire consuming his body and kaname digs in harder when he's lifted so easily, squeezing tight as if leona'd ever let him drop-- ]

[ -- but when he does it's carefully against comfortable bedding that smells dizzingly like the beastman above him and kaname wishes he could hide his face again, because the fact he can't feel how hot it is anymore is a testament to the way the crimson flush reaches further down his once fair skin. maybe he's bitten off more than he can chew, but it's the sort of delicious dessert he'll let melt in his mouth until he can swallow it versus simply spitting it out, versus choking it down.

leona's mane brushing over him is already becoming something he's far-too aware of, strands of electricity with each touch, but the wet heat that's soon introduced to his chest ensure the other'll have marks of his own, ones that'll fade but not today as kaname arches up into it with a sharp inhale, nails dragging hard lines over tanned shoulders. ]

Ki-- Kin-- [ what a spiny mouthful, when he has a name that rolls off far richer, pleasure in every syllable: ] Leona.

[ more, more, more -- ]

[ does it tickle when leona's braids brush over his shoulders and down by his sides? when his bangs touch the spots above where his mouth is anchored, where he sucks just hard to apply a firm and unrelentless pressure? his hands move down to cup kaname's ass, squeezing and kneading, working to 'assault' him from multiple angles. maybe he's just imagining it, but there's something so sweet... it's delicious. he wants more of it and he'll take it.

but first...

leona licks over his teeth. nothing good comes from dryness, right? as he grazes the tip of the nipple he's been giving the most attention to, he's quick to bite the skin around it. he can feel when the skin gives, but he's not looking to make him bleed heavily--- just leave red angry marks around them. not a perfect circle. something that'll be there for more than just a night or two.

and from there? he dots kisses from the center of kaname's chest and moves lower, to stomach and navel, tongue and lips and teeth leaving a trail. ]
